Adopt-A-Classroom is a strategic response to the evolving needs of charter education, by providing additional support for classroom teachers.

This initiative will connect the Charter Institute at Erskine staff with classrooms across Institute schools to better understand the day-to-day realities of teaching and learning, strengthen relationships with students and educators, and support ongoing school improvement efforts that lead to stronger student academic outcomes.

Every month, authorizer-level staff from the superintendent to the front desk receptionist, step away from their administrative roles to volunteer in a classroom. By taking over classroom instruction, Institute staff will provide relief to school faculty and maintain a direct, authentic connection with the needs of students and teachers.
