Calhoun Falls Charter School (CFCS) recently hosted a fantastic Community Kick-Off event, bringing together families, teachers, and community partners under the powerful theme “We Are Stronger Together.” Designed to strengthen the bond between the school and the surrounding neighborhood, the event marked one of the largest parent engagement nights in the school’s history.
The school hosted the kickoff with a few big goals in mind: getting middle schoolers pumped up and ready for SC READY testing, strengthening bonds with amazing local partners, and listening to families’ feedback to improve their school experience even more.
Thanks to the generous support of local community partners, families enjoyed a completely free evening of food and entertainment. Attendees were treated to hot dogs, chips, drinks, and snow cones, while an ice cream truck added an extra sweet touch to the festivities.
The energetic atmosphere featured a live DJ, line dancing, and water games that kept students engaged and excited. The event also looked toward the future, providing a bounce house for upcoming students to ensure that even the youngest community members felt a warm, inclusive welcome.
The event was a huge win for school spirit, leaving students feeling supported and reminding everyone of the incredible things that happen when a community unites.
