With over 20 years of experience as an educator and leader, Velez brings a proven record of advancing student success through innovation, collaboration, and student-centered learning.
Velez earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the City University of New York, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mercy University, and an Educational Leadership Certification from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has served in diverse roles including English as a Second Language teacher, instructional coach, and Middle School Principal, experiences that provide her with a comprehensive understanding of the needs of students, families, and educators.
At MSC, Velez will build on the school’s long-standing reputation for academic excellence and child-centered Montessori education. Her leadership vision is grounded in open communication, shared responsibility, and a commitment to nurturing independent, lifelong learners.
