Gray Collegiate Academy named “One of America’s Best High Schools” by U.S. News and World Report

Gray Collegiate Academy-3

Gray Collegiate Academy is Deemed “One of America’s Best High Schools” winner in the U.S. by U.S. News and World Report.

Gray Collegiate Academy Principal, Dr. Brian Newsome proudly announces that the charter school has been named one of the best high schools in the entire country.

In a publication released today by U.S. News and World Report, Gray Collegiate Academy earned recognizably high national and metro-area rankings as one of the 2024 Best High Schools.

According to the publication, the ranking is a reflection of schools whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading, and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores on an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.’

Dr. Newsome says, “We are very excited to receive this award and recognition today. To think of the journey our school has taken over the years, from an “Unsatisfactory” high school the first two years of creation to being ranked “Excellent” the past 5 years on our South Carolina State Report Card, now being named one of America’s best high schools, is truly humbling.  The hard work of the faculty and staff is truly remarkable, with a selfless attitude to do everything possible to help students find success. This award is a testament to the hard work of everyone at Gray, and we are grateful for such a wonderful organization like the U.S. News and World Report to recognize our hard work”.

By earning the prestigious national ranking, Gray Collegiate Academy also gains eligibility to display a U.S. News-trademarked 2024 Best High Schools award badge or logo.
