What is the “Reaching Opportunities Together” Conference? 

This conference is a one-day professional development event that will focus on strengthening programs and schools by working together. The conference will feature keynote speakers, SC Department of Education staff, and break out sessions covering a variety of topics. Topics will not only include Federal Programs compliance, but also parent involvement, using data to drive instruction, health and safety, and more!

Who should attend the conference?

Registration is open to all teachers, administrators, instructional staff, and Federal Programs coordinators. This conference will have a sessions on programmatic and fiscal compliance for Federal Programs, so Title I coordinators, Title II coordinators, Title III coordinators, and Special Education coordinators should attend.

What is the cost to register?

There is no cost to register. 

Is lunch included?

Yes, lunch will be provided, as well as snacks throughout the day.

When and where will the conference be held?

The conference will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Saluda Shoals (5605 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212)

Will certification credits be offered?

Yes, certification credit can be earned. 

Can I be reimbursed for a hotel room?

Qualifying* schools will be reimbursed for a limited* number of hotel rooms for the night of September 22, 2019. The group rate must be used in order to receive reimbursement. The registration link will include how many hotel rooms the school will be reimbursed for if qualifying.
