The Charter Institute at Erskine Office of Human Resources serves not only the district office, but also the charter schools authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine. The Office of Human Resources is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: benefits administration for the Institute employees and schools participating in PEBA insurance, the Institute’s employee handbook and policies, Institute new hire onboarding, and HR training.
The Office of School and Board Relations works closely with the charter schools authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine. This office is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: maintaining schools’ boards records, attending board meetings and visiting schools, entering and updating employee records in the State Department of Education’s systems, teacher certification renewals and extensions, alternative certification confirmations, teacher loan confirmations, teacher experience verifications, background checks, posting position vacancies for schools and forwarding applications, and the Teacher-Student-Volunteer of the Year programs.
